GETTING READY FOR THE WEEKEND
WHAT TO EXPECT
As soon as we give you the green light that the event is proceeding, you will need to attend a fitting a a dive shop. This will need to be done ASAP after getting the go ahead, because July is the still a busy time for diving and we want to ensure you’re able to get the gear you need! (An email will be sent regarding this at least a month prior to the event. If you don’t get one by June 12th, please follow up with Mich on 0406 091 988)
The fun begins when we pick you up in the city (See map and info below) at 10.30am, having already collected your equipment on the way. We head out towards Whyalla with a stop at Port Germein to have a leg stretch and check out the longest jetty in the Southern Hemisphere! There will also be a lunch stop on the way at a bakery or cafe (own expense)
Once we arrive in Whyalla, we get to settle in to our accomodation before meeting at a designated spot, and going on to have a pub dinner and getting to know each other a little more. Saturday morning is the big event! After breakfast we will head on over to “Where the Cuttlefish Are” and get our snorkel event underway. There will be 2 snorkel guides and if you have any fears or concerns before the event, be sure to let Mich or Beck know. Once we have all had enough of snorkelling , we will head back to Whyalla with a cafe/bakery lunch stop on the way (own expense) before heading to our cabins for a hot shower and a change of clothes.
In the afternoonn we will have a lovely stroll along the foreshore, taking in some of the local sights incuding the brand new circular jetty and (hopefully) the local friendly dolphins will pop their heads up to day hi! Then it’s over to the pub for dinner (own expense) retiring for the evening.
After breaky we will gather our belongings, pick up our pre ordered lunches (own expense) and head towards home. Stopping at the base of the Flinders, we have a lovely (grade 2) easy little hike to stretch our legs and have our lunch, before heading back to Adelaide.
Please note that our weekend events involve a go with the flow type attitude and sometimes the itinerary changes. This means we may adapt the activities to the people and environment, to ensure the most safety and fun for all!
We thank you for your understanding around this!

Snorkelling Whyalla
Light breakfasts are included and where possible, an all hands on deck approach would be appreciated.
Tea and Coffee provided.
We plan to pack up at around 10.00am on the Sunday before picking up our lunches and heading over to the base of the Flinders for our hike and then back to Adelaide that afternoon/evening, for an approximate arrival of 5.30pm.
If you have a strict schedule, please advise your Mucha Host so we can ensure you get back when you need to.
An amazing opportunity to enjoy kayaking in a beautiful setting with like minded people. Gorgeous landscapes, chilled friends and good times are what this weekend is all about and this is the perfect weekend adventure to get your fix!!
